Description of Activity Axe throwing is a recreational sport in which participants throw hatchets or axes at a wooden target under the supervision of a trained coach. Activities take place in designated throwing lanes or bays. Participants may throw axes weighing approximately 1.5 to 2.5 lbs. --- ## 2. Inherent Risks & Assumption of Risk The Participant (and Parent/Guardian on behalf of any minor) acknowledges that axe throwing involves **inherent risks** that exist regardless of all safety precautions, including but not limited to: - Being struck by a thrown axe or by an axe that bounces back from the target - Cuts, lacerations, or puncture wounds from axe blades - Muscle strains and shoulder or arm injuries from repeated throwing motions - Trips, slips, or falls in the throwing area - Injury resulting from the actions of other participants - Eye or face injury from wood splinters or debris The Participant voluntarily and knowingly **assumes all such inherent risks**, whether or not caused by the actions of other participants, conditions of the facility, or other factors.
