Independent Contractor Status The Worker is engaged as an independent contractor, not an employee. The Worker shall: (a) control the manner and means of performing the work; (b) supply their own tools and equipment unless otherwise specified; (c) be responsible for their own taxes (federal, state, self-employment); and (d) not receive employee benefits. The Client shall issue a Form 1099-NEC if payments exceed $600 in a calendar year. ## 3. Task Assignment and Acceptance **Task Assignment Method:** ___________ Each task assignment shall include: a description, expected completion time, and compensation amount.
